Tom, Susan, Lucy, & Julia Harrison

Southampton County Court, July term, 1853.

On the motion of Tom, Susan, Lucy & July Harrison negroes emancipated under the will of Henry Harrison dec'd it is ordered that the Justices of this County, be summoned here to the September term of this Court to take into consideration the propriety of allowing them to remain in this County.

Tom was 13, Susan was 18, Lucy was 22, and Julia was 20. By 1860 they had moved, along with their parents Samuel and Mason, to Chester County, Pennsylvania, over 300 miles away from home.
